The Public-Partner Project Manager facilitates the creation and management of multi-stakeholder partnerships in Life Sciences. A typical collaboration will have international partners, will be externally funded (H2020, IMI2, AIO, FP7, NIH, BARDA …) and will include pharmaceutical industries as well as SMEs, academia, and other public organizations. The Project Manager helps aligning and engaging the different stakeholders, and drive the project together in close cooperation with the customer Project Leader/Consortium Leader using effective communication and processes

Description

• Ensure alignment between the various stakeholders in the consortium
• Support the leaderships team in day-to-day management, mediate conflicts and consensus building
• Setup and organize project governance meetings / workshops to facilitate multi stakeholder communication
• Act as primary contact for the scientific, finance, procurement, legal and intellectual property teams of the customer, as well for the external partners and funding bodies as applicable
• Assure timely submission of project deliverables and achievement of milestones
• Report on project progress to the responsible sponsors / authorities

Requirements

• PhD/Postdoc Degree in Science (Bio Engineering, Biomedical, Chemical, Biology…) or Master complemented by relevant work experience
• Demonstrated experience working in collaborative and international environments, with virtual teams: mediation, conflict management, diplomacy are key skills
• Interest to understand the bigger scientific picture and keep the helicopter view
• Planning, analytical, prioritizing and organizing abilities
• Proactive and stress resistant team player
• Pragmatic and creative problem solver with a can-do mentality.
• Not afraid to learn new things
• Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills is a must
• Previous experience in life science industry is a strong plus
• Demonstrated project Management experience – a certification is a plus
• Grant Management experience is a plus

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong interest /experience in communication (website, social media, campaigns)
• Graphics design skills
• Non-technical, high-level knowledge onreal world data / evidence
