The position is interfacing with other functions within the organisation and the person holding the position must be flexible in balancing the various requirements between the functions involved.
The Site EHS & Quality Manager will work under the supervision of the EHS & Quality Director and the Managing Director.
Profile
Education
University degree or equivalent (Engineering/Master degree related to EHS is preferred)
Experience
- At least 5 years in an operational function
- Experience in EHS & Quality work and environment
- Experience in EHS & Quality auditing
Role
The key missions of the position are:
- being responsible for the EHS management of the site for operations activities;
- monitoring and validating the conformity of products / processes in production;
- ensuring customer interface for Quality issues (current production) with customers’ sites;
- ensuring that the Quality System is respected;
- coaching site managers to achieve customer satisfaction for Quality;
- ensuring that customers’ targets are met;
- ensuring the full deployment of group Quality strategy within the site.
Responsabilities
1.EHS Management System
- Responsible of deployment of the Site procedures and maintenance of its tools, in liaison with FT Group system;
- Prepare, review & follow, within the Site, the yearly EHS plan, ensuring consistency with FT Group & Division Targets & Objectives;
- Responsible for ensuring sustenance of the appropriate certifications (ISO 9001, ISO14001 &, OSHAS 18001).
2.Roadmap assessments
- Establish and keep up to date a roadmap self-assessment of the location(s) managed by the Site;
- Organize, follow & participate to EHS formal Roadmap audits performed in the location(s) by FT Group accredited auditors;
- Perform EHS audits and assessments based on FT Group EHS Standards (the EHS Road Map);
- On the basis of the audit and assessment findings and conclusions, establish and monitor the realization of the necessary corrective and preventive actions on the Site and all locations managed by the site.
3.Analysis, Benchmarking and Reporting
- Assist the Site in the identification, reporting and follow-up of undesirable events;
- Ensure the root cause analysis of the accidents and incidents and ensures their reporting at FT Group & Division level;
- Ensure the Site monthly EHS reporting through E-Qual is done on time & with accuracy of data posted and support of Functions responsible for the input data;
- Participate in the FT EHS Community & EHS Business Network when required.
4.Regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance of the Site EHS operations with the EHS country regulations applicable;
- Ensure the regulatory watch is done locally so as to identify new applicable requirements;
- Review the compliance of the activities of the Site to the identified EHS requirements;
- Ensure that meetings of the Health and Safety committee(s) of the Site are implemented.
5.Communication, Awareness and Training
- Ensure the EHS communication between levels and functions of the Site;
- Establish and ensure the deployment of the EHS awareness programme for the employees and contractors;
- Identify the EHS skills required by employees and contractors, establish and ensure the deployment of the necessary training(s) in coordination with Human Resources Dept.
6.Sourcing and qualification of contractors / suppliers
- Support Sourcing Dept. & Supplier development Team in the qualification of suppliers by defining the applicable EHS requirements and verifying their fulfilment according to FT Group organization, procedures, process and planning according to FT supplier assessment questionnaire;
- Ensure that EHS requirements are integrated in sourcing documents and conditions & terms;
- Deploy with sourcing EHS regulation or FT Group requirements;
- Keep sourcing department informed about new regulations applicable (Reach, chemical management, CE, carbon assessment, …).
7.Engineering
- Define & implement with Engineering department tools to integrate EHS requirements (regulation, customers, FT Group, …) in the design in order to eliminate or reduce EHS risks of the manufacturing activities, the Services related activities or during the operation & maintenance phase by the customer;
- Participate on request of engineering department for EHS integration in design and finding solutions to specific issues identified on project;
- Assist Engineering in the tendering phase to be ready for environmental criteria integration in bidding process.
8.Quality
- Manage Incidents (0 Km, Logistic and warranty) Internally and with Customer ;
- Ensure that reactivity to treat customers’ issues is respected ;
- Manage Quality Indicators on his/her site ;
- Develop and coordinate the site Quality Improvement plan following guidelines from Group and Activity ;
- Promote Quality Culture change ;
- Contribute to the implementation of FMS methodologies in the site ;
- Manage Quality network in his or her site ;
- Audit the Quality System periodically (Internal, Customer Audits, IRIS) ;
- Ensure that projects are launched according APQP steps ;
- For modifications, enforce the rules for change control ;
- Follow up the Quality of major product/process changes within the sites ;
- Represent Customer within Faiveley on Quality matters (Communication / Escalation) > “voice of customer” inside the plant ;
- Ensure the escalation of major quality issues to activity level, if necessary ;
- Manage the SQA team : inspection controls, SQA technicians in order to secure the production lines ;
- Ensure that suppliers’ incidents are treated according standard rules of reactivity (48h/10days/ 30 days) ;
- Ensure the reliability of the quality data, through the use of FIM (Faiveley Incidents Management) data base ;
- Make sure that customers quality data are tracked and followed closely, to be in line with the customer’s appraisal of FT performance.
