Robert Half is currently recruiting a Finance Reporting Specialist for a multinational active in the logistics industry in the ’Kempen’ area.



With nearly 60 years of experience in its field, our client employs over 2,000 members of staff at 10 different locations.



As a Reporting Specialist you are responsible for the planning, preparation and coordination of the financial statements for both internal (financial management, management committee and board of directors) and external users. You will work closely with the Reporting Manageras to take over the position after 1-2 years of experience.

On daily basis:

  • Acknowledge invoices from direct expenses for all KN logistics files, this in cooperation with knowledge center in Poland and SSC in Serbia;
  • Follow-up if invoices are approved in timely manner;

On monthly basis:

  • Responsible for the financial month end closings and VAT declarations in cooperation with the Tax department;
  • Follow-up the balance accounts concerning Payroll /Accrued costs/Deferred expenses;
  • Capitalisation of Fixed Assets /follow-up of fixed asset register;
  • IFRS 16 lease register.

On yearly basis:

  • Prepare the target of the functional units together with the Reporting manager;
  • Responsible for the Year-end closing of 5 companies;
  • Translation of IFRS Group Reporting standards to Belgium GAAP;
  • Contact person for external audits for all companies;
  • Prepare the annual accounts for 5 companies and prepare the minutes/ management reports;
  • Prepare figures and minutes for workers councils;
  • Prepare the new bookkeeping year: Set up Standing journals for the monthly provision & set up allocations of cost centers.


Functional requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Finance;
  • Relevant experience (min. 3 years) in a similar role;
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail;
  • Strong ability with MS office;
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience concerning annual accounts and all related documents;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, in Dutch and English;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Have the skills to grow into the role as team leader within 1 year;
  • Don’t be afraid of overtime;
  • Be stress resistant.

  • Strike the balance between the details and the essence, ability to synthetize, structured approach;
  • Open-minded towards improving performance and resolving issues;
  • Pro-active approach, can-do attitude, team player.
