Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

The Software team works closely with the Hardware team to create unique pieces of high engineering.

For its activities, Thales Belgium SA ( Tubize site ) is therefore looking for a: Software Manager (H/F/X)

Who are you ?

As a software manager, you have knowledge of software development and related activities as well as Agile (SCRUM, LEAN) and iterative methodologies.

You are organized, rigorous, solution-oriented in the face of a problem and you have a strong desire for continuous improvement.

Your relationship allows you to integrate and federate a multidisciplinary team around a project/product vision.

Full professional proficiency in English is expected. French and/or Dutch is a plus.

What will you be responsible for :

By integrating the Engineering team, the software manager interfaces with the SwEMs, the engineering, the development team and other department.

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Software.

As part of your technical activities, you will be entrusted with the following missions:

• Ensure, by delegation of the SwEM, the follow-up of progress of the internal teams necessary for the execution of a software package in collaboration with the software architect.

• Share with the team a clear and ambitious vision of project objectives.

• Orchestrate the activities of its software package on the technical plans, implementation and planning.

• Be involved in the drafting of technical documentation and software lot management within the project.

• Produce reporting and monitoring indicators concerning the activities of the software package.

• Ensure the interface with the different engineering teams and the SwEM.
