Job Offer:Safety and lifetime Lithium-ion battery cell-to-pack digital twin (DT) senior engineer

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate should have good working experience and knowledge oflithium-ion battery lifetime and safety modeling and testingfor different applications (electric vehicles and stationary). Excellent knowledge of lithium-ion battery multi-domain modeling and integration from cell-to-pack levels based ondigital twin (DT) technology.

Qualifications Required And Experience:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of Industrial/academic experience in lithium-ion battery modeling and testing (cell-to-pack) from a lifetime and safety perspective. Minimum 3 to 5 years of industrial or academic experience in lithium-ion battery modeling and testing (cell to pack) from a lifetime and safety perspective.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in the characterization, lifetime, and safety modeling of lithium-ion batteries, cell-to-pack level, DT, and battery testing procedures.
  • Good knowledge of the battery systems of electric vehicles (EV) and stationary interfaces at subsystem and system levels.
  • The candidate should have good knowledge of the reliability and safety assessment techniques for complex engineering systems (FTA and FMEA types).
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of simulation platforms (MATLAB, Pyrton, and COMSOL).
  • The candidate should have knowledge of the integration of the different battery models based on the FMU and FMI integration standards.
  • The candidate should be familiar with lithium-ion batteries at system levels, lifetime, and safety testing for EV and stationary applications.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively and should have strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and thinking-outside-the-box skills

Responsibilities:

  • Multi-domain (lifetime and safety) modeling of the lithium-ion battery at the system level based on the DT technology for electric vehicles (EV) and stationary applications.
  • Writing reports and participating in and management of the EU projects.
  • Interaction with the research partners and customers.
  • Provide technical guidance for business and research teams with diverse backgrounds.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and present them to the upper management
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
