SCOM Engineer


  • Working Location:Brussels, Belgium
  • Security Clearance:NATO Secret / SC
  • Language:High proficiency level in English language


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:


Essential Qualifications/Experience:

· Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience of SCOM (Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager) in a large scale LAN-based client-server environment
· Recent experience on design, installation and maintenance of SCOM environments over multiple Active Directory domains
· In-depth knowledge of installation and configuration of SCOM management packs
· Experience with configuring monitoring of Linux based systems with SCOM
· Ability to quickly analyse and implement third party SCOM management packs
· Excellent troubleshooting skills


DUTIES/ROLE

  • Upgrade/reinstall existing SCOM instances to the latest level
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot SCOM management packs including third party management packs used to monitor network, storage, applications, etc
  • Install and configure SCOM servers to enable monitoring across different Active Directory domains
  • Administer SCOM(Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager) systems
  • Tune the SCOM configuration to prevent false-positive alerts
  • Take necessary actions to ensure all elements of IT services are monitored
  • Monitor the SCOM environments and take appropriate actions
  • Investigate and resolve issues in a systematic approach
  • Perform other duties as may be required
