Security Engineer - Hybrid Role

Our client is a global manufacturing company focused on high-end equipment specifically for automotive manufacturing. It is an exciting time for the company as they invest considerably throughout Benelux and expand their European operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading Security projects for the IT Systems
  • Staying on top of the latest country-specific laws related to IT and InfoSec
  • Serving as the main point of contact for the operational technology department regarding tech security issues.
  • Using suitable methods, providing a dependable and highly available network security service tech.
  • Providing specialized Site Service services for local companies, customized for site-specific needs for various companies and external entities on-site. Overseeing the site’s IT-related elements of major projects. Acting as the local authority for the IT infrastructure.
  • IT and Firewall Infrastructure for Benelux offices
  • Coordinator between the global network and network security team and international IT security.
  • Implement methods to optimize make the most use of the resources at hand.
  • Complete accountability for completing difficult tasks with high-quality.
  • Commit to procedures for continual improvement and participate in them.
  • Collaborate with clients to conceptualise system improvements.
  • Stay updated on best practices and current market solutions relevant to your field.
  • Create the necessary documentation to accompany system designs.

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Extensive understanding of network and security principles.
  • A professional background in information technologies.
  • Knowledge around firewalling
  • In-depth understanding of technologies related to security and verification.
  • Have strong knowledge in Windows OS, Linux and other programs for managing systems and interfaces.
  • Proficiency in project management.
  • Open to learn a broad range of open-source technologies
