We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic
Senior Accountant based in Leuven – Belgium.

What is your role?
The main goal of Senior Accountant is being responsible for the daily accounting activities related to the General ledger and Accounts Payable for the EU entities in the NM Group. Additionally, the Senior Accountant supports the Finance Manager with other Finance and Accounting (F&A) related matters such as VAT/tax returns, cash planning and improving overall process efficiency.

Key areas of responsibility
·
Perform the daily accounting activities related to Accounts payable / General ledger, such as posting of supplier invoices, preparing payments and posting of bank statements
·
Assist in the monthly closing process
·
Filing of the VAT requirements
·
Assist in the cash planning for the NM Group
·
Perform reconciliations and assist with other preparatory work for audit
·
Prepare the Annual accounts

Ancillary Responsibilities
·
Take up the accounting responsibility for dedicated companies
·
Prepare the Tax return
·
Improve efficiency on F&A processes
·
Assist in realizing the benefits of the new ERP system

Profiel:
Qualifications
Essential
·
Bachelor Finance and Accounting
·
Minimum 5 years of experience
·
Experience with VAT
·
Experience with Navision, Infor or other ERP system
·
Strong knowledge of Dutch and English
·
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Desirable
·
Experience in an international environment
·
Experience with Tax
·
Experience with Accon or Isabel software
·
Basic understanding of French and German
