Job Purpose:
The Senior Brand Manager Respiratory / Smokers Health / Wellness BeNeLux is a double heading of the team leader role for Respiratory / Smokers Health / Wellness, as well as taking Brand Manager responsibilities for parts or the portfolio. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for development and implementation of local brand strategies and marketing plans for the categories Respiratory / Smokers Health / Wellness in the BeNeLux market cluster. He/she is leading the local Respiratory/Smokers Health/Wellness team in BeNeLux and is accountable for the category and brand market share and turnover delivery. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for developing appropriate strategies and marketing plans of those categories in cooperation with the Marketing Lead BeNeLux and the Category Leads on BU level, whilst taking guidelines from the global category teams into account.
The role will report into the Marketing Lead BeNeLux and can operate out of any market within the BeNeLux cluster (Belgium, Netherlands)
Your responsibilities:
Category and brand ownership at Market cluster level:
- Lead and execute the Category/Brand Planning process on Market Cluster level in line with Category and BU guidelines
- Act as brand custodian reacting and responding in an agile way to local trends, changed consumer behavior and helping to mine local insights.
- Develop and implement marketing activities based on the annual plan
- Lead Communication strategy incl media, digital & PR for the respective category and Market Cluster
- Responsible for implementation of holistic and connected country media plans
- Locally implement global/BU campaigns including tracking and evaluation of results
- Lead country launch and activation plan for Innovations and category portfolio choices
- Management of content and updates of local brand websites and digital platforms
- Responsible for artwork execution of the respective portfolio
Leadership
- Lead and develop the BeNeLux Category Team for Respiratory/Smokers Health/(Wellness through a matrix organization
- Guide and coach the Respiratory/Smokers Health/Welness BM(s) in BeNeLux and influence cross-functional teams across the Market Cluster to develop best in class integrated brand, activation and executional plans for brand and category growth, build strong brand equities and win share profitably across channels.
Performance management
- Responsible to deliver category KPIs with strong focus on driving turnover, market share and profitability
- Systematically review multiple data sources to track category, brand and competitor performances, proactively recommending course correction activities if required
- Responsible for Advertising & Promotion budget for the category in the local market cluster
- Input to sales forecasting and monthly reporting
Other:
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, economics, commercial, business or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of marketing experience with proven track record of achievements in leading FMCG and/or Consumer Healthcare companies
- Leadership experience in leading through others either via direct report experience and/or project leadership of large cross-functional teams
- Collaborative working – Proven ability to influence across the matrix at both peer and senior levels, including strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships of trust.
- Excellent commercial understanding managing the brand from a P&L perspective
- Experience in planning and executing data driven digital marketing campaigns
- Strong analytic, strategic and organizational skills,
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge and experience of the consumer retail environment in BeNeLux
- Fluent in English. Required to speak min 1 of the local market cluster languages (Dutch, French)
