Are you a veteran in the field of data engineering and want to broaden your knowledge in the cloud and ops-aspect side of things? As our business keeps on growing we are searching for a Senior Data Engineer.

Your role

Your day at DexMach starts with a great cup of coffee (or tea!) and a little catch-up with your colleagues.

Totally fueled your day starts;
  • Based on technical specifications by the data analyst, you retrieve data from a given data source, process it into different quality stages and generate a data model.
  • You package the technical artifacts in a continuous integration & delivery pipeline so that features can be developed, tested, and released into different lifecycle moments
  • Based on a given machine learning model, you generate a continuous integration & delivery pipeline to train, validate, monitor & retrain the model in a reproducible environment
  • You apply our reference approach towards best practices, security, and monitoring in all data-related activities
  • You co-define & evangelize the related data programs inside and outside the company
  • You assist in architectural topics, with the option to start a track towards the architect role based on ambition

Your profile

You have:
  • A thirst for knowledge and never-ending will to learn
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to collect, analyze and enhance a combination of data sources
  • Strong communication skills where you interact with both business and technical profiles and can clearly explain a problem and solution to both
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/delivery concepts
  • Experience with data resources in Azure Cloud or equivalent
  • Experience with Spark distributed computing
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with interacting with API’s for data extraction or manipulation
  • Experience with applying the Python programming language for data workloads
  • Fluent in English or Dutch, French is a plus
  • Flexible, collaborative and results driven mindset: enthusiastic to work in a very dynamic & changing environment, committed and business savvy to navigate the potential technical or organizational roadblocks
  • You must be authorized and eligible to work freely in the EU
