Senior Railway Signalling Engineer

Expleo Belgium needs THE talent to support the transport industry in the challenges of its digital transformation. You will contribute to the development/deployment of new signaling solutions to meet the mobility challenges of today.

Expleo works internationally to support clients in Belgium, and you will become the Team Leader of our System Signalling Team.

Roles
  • Pilot the Expleo international team of system engineers
  • Follow-up daily the activities of the team and support the engineers with your expertise
  • Define the input requirements and define the scope of works with our clients.
  • Perform conceptual design by preparing system models, design studies, design rationales, design principles, real time analysis, modelling and mock-ups
  • Elaborate formal modelling and requirements writing according to design standard and guidelines
  • Partner with RAM, safety, sub-system, cybersecurity, software, product, and V&V teams to develop design concepts, to ensure specifications completeness and acceptance
  • Call, conduct, and participate to technical reviews (design reviews, document reviews) including consultation to end-users and experts
  • Ensure that the system follows standardization approach by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, and by providing an efficient system deployment kit (tools, user documentation…)
  • Provide support to Program external stakeholders (Customers, Users, Tenders)

Profile

We are not looking for the candidate that ticks all the boxes, but if you find yourself in the following sentences then we would be glad to have a chat with you!
  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in railway signalling and system engineering
  • Strong knowledge of ETCS and the associated Europeans norms
  • Fluency in English is a must-have, French and other European languages fluency is strongly appreciated
