The Smart Manufacturing Strategic Portfolio Leader as an authority, will make decisions and provide strategic guidance and recommendations that have meaningful impact on our digitally enabled solutions. We seek a seasoned professional who will demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature business and technical judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented business problems. In this role, you will set program objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects and develop standards and guides for diverse business activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Foster collaborative partnerships with businesses to connect business goals and strategies, the process data and technology investments required to achieve them, and make recommendations for features and functions, process and product design.
- Contribute to inventions, review new projects, products, and architecture solutions to ensure they are aligned with the enterprise and solution architecture, respect reusability, meet financial targets and align to defined standards.
- Conceive and plan investigations of broad areas of novelty and importance to the overall engineering programs, including maintain capability portfolio to drive continuous improvement, capability deployment roadmaps, and capability heat maps.
- Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
- Travel up to 25% of the time domestically (at peaks up to 50%)
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of eight years of related operations experience with various roles and progressive responsivities
- Demonstrated background and experience in the adoption or delivery of digitalization & analytics solutions in plant operations for continuous, batch, and packaging industries.
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record in program and project management (broad scope and cross-functional)
- Understanding of IT-OT principles, as well as the concept of IT-OT Convergence
- Knowledge and understanding of Change, Communication, and Education practices
- Strong industry network
- Experience developing processes and deploying programs across multiple locations/businesses
- Demonstrated ability to communicate vision/strategy and engage/empower experts in supporting execution
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize to meet business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams globally to achieve targeted objectives
- Familiarity with Operational Excellence, Reliability Excellence, Production Excellence, and Continuous Improvement concepts and tools
- Familiarity with Digital Transformation concepts such as; Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, IoT (Internet of Things) and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), technology solutions, solution providers, etc.
