Social Media and Communications Specialist

We are providing information through our 50+ EEIP Writer network and engaging with key stakeholders from business, finance, IT, academia and policy through various initiatives and EU funded projects. We are looking for someone to:

• Operate EEIP EU projects websites and social media channels
• Grow the audiences and drive engagement to increase conversions (like, share, clicks)

Your main tasks:

Improve effectiveness

• Establishment of content flow of relevant, easily accessible messages on a variety of subjects and through various communication channels
• Identification of action-specific audiences and stakeholders (influencers, multipliers)
• Identification of content (process & tools)
• Creation of posts (incl. visuals), press releases, press kits, newsletters and related marketing materials
• Tracking, reporting and adjusting communications activities based on outcomes

Improve efficiency

• Cross-posting, third party engagement, automated posts
• Use of hashtags & tagging of users’ handles (identification and application)

Innovate

• Identification and use of new tools in existing social media channels
• Identification, development and implementation of further audience-specific social media and communication channels

Explore

• Innovative social media channels (e.g. the ones using blockchain)
• Innovative social experience (e.g. VR)

Other

• Build and operate a “social media practitioner group” (members: social media contacts at EU project partners) / objective: learn from good practice, build relationships to motivate participation in social media activities and data gathering for reporting
• Add key contacts to CRM (costumer relationship management)
• Monitor and report the results (EU projects and EEIP)

Your profile:

• At least 3-year relevant working experience in communications, dissemination and event organization
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Adobe tools, Canva and similar
• Experience with mass mailing tools and social media marketing
• Fluency in written and spoken English plus knowledge of another EU language is a plus
• Ability to work individually as well as collaboratively as part of a small, multicultural team
• Proactive approach
• Knowledge of EU energy policy and EU-funded projects is considered an asset

Role description:

Member of the Project Office, report to the PO Lead

Lead on projects’ social media activities, websites and communication activities

Lead on 1-2 EU projects

Support EU projects: Communication and Dissemination strategy development and deliverables

Support event organization cross EU projects
