Software Engineer (m/f/d)

• You are responsible for the software design and software support of measuring instruments and experimental set-ups to meet predefined requirements/specs.
• You are responsible for software integration and deployment in collaboration with cross-functional applications and test engineering teams throughout the product development cycle
• You will drive the development of applications in instrument automation and control
• You will also support R&D efforts to develop new testing/analysis techniques and methods
• You will elaborate test plans and test software applications using debugging and simulation tools
• You will perform software releases and software quality assurance activities
• You will perform maintenance activities for existing products
• You will participate in the build of prototypes and pre-productions batches and will support in transfer to series production

• 5 years of Experience using C++, MFC and layered software systems using object-oriented design to develop software for automated measurement and control applications
• Experience in real-time instrumentation control of Vision, motion control, digital signal processing and data acquisition systems used in metrology, physics, chemistry, or engineering
• Experience designing and coding Windows based systems with low-latency real-time/non-real-time software including intuitive interactive UI design and development.
• Profound knowledge of various communication protocols, e.g. USB, RS232, IEEE, RS485, TCP/IP, Modbus
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Qt
• Knowledge of general software design/documentation processes
• Experience with software revision control systems
• Proficient problem-solving skills
• Academic education as industrial Engineer, Electro-Mechanics or equal by experience
• Good cooperation and communication skills
• Experience in working in an interdisciplinary and international team
• Team player, intrinsically motivated
• Very good spoken and written knowledge of English
• Dutch and German knowledge is an advantage
