This role is for you!

• We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Procurement Team for Finished Goods.
• This Sourcing Specialist role will be ideally located at the European Headquarter Mont Saint Guibert, Belgium but may be open to German branch office Fellbach.
• The position will report to the European Procurement Manager.
  

The Role In a Nutshell

The Sourcing Specialist (Finished Goods Europe) supports global sourcing activities of Finished Goods for B2B and B2C business mainly in Europe, from Distributor/Dealer over Mass Merchant/Online to End-user channels. Support of the Global Procurement team also in other functional areas like Indirect, MRO, Logistics can be part of the role.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate procurement process, advance procurement optimization activities, and follow the strategic sourcing process
• Review all sourcing requests, ensuring TCO in all procurement of goods and services are followed, transactions meet all legal requirements, purchases are made for reasonable and legitimate business purpose, and requests are properly authorized
• Manage purchasing activities and follow up on vendor and contractor issues
• Follow sourcing process in RFP/RFQ preparation and implementation, contract negotiation and management
• Support benchmark pricing, conduct negotiations with suppliers for Administration and Manufacturing
• Utilize and analyze commodity indexes and economic trends to update product TCOs, drive cost savings and mitigate inflation
• Evaluate forecasts to anticipate supply problems and take preventive actions
• Support and maintain relationships with suppliers as needed to see that they are fulfilling their contractual obligations to the company; create clean-sheets, negotiation papers, supplier profiles and scorecards
• Support New Product Development projects providing product knowledge and finding the right supply base, also by preparing and maintaining supplier landscape reports.
• Build and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders; develop and maintain effective and proactive communication
• Provide guidance to others by communicating and reinforcing strategic and tactical plans
• Maintenance of all sourcing data within SAP as it pertains to assigned products/spend categories and suppliers
• Other tasks maybe assigned based on business needs.
  

Who You Are

• An outside the box thinking Supply Chain professional that sees the bigger picture, willing to learn and improve skills every day.
• Well organized and ability to showcase strong project management skills with stakeholders in different cultures and time zones.
  

What You Have

• 3+ years of strategic sourcing experience negotiating contracts and managing suppliers
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent industry experience
• Professional certifications CPM/CPSM, CPIM/CSCP or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience in global multinational corporate environment
• Strong contract management and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement robust, creative sourcing strategies based on PQLIR (Price, Quality, Innovation and Risk) which yield measurable reductions in spend
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)
• Fluency in English and another European Language (French and German preferred)
  

Availability

• Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks’ in duration
