Country HR Lead - Belgium

YOUR PURPOSE

The Country HR Lead is a new key role, accountable for offering the best HR Partnership & HR Services to business leaders & employees in Belgium, optimising expertise of the HR network in-country & in close collaboration with other international stakeholders. The Country HR Lead has generalist HR responsibilities for all Sales and Offices, as well as accountability for Payroll-Admin-Benefits Services for the entire population of about 500 employees.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate / Align on HR Matters with HRBPs, with Plant HR Leaders and with Site Leaders
• In close collaboration with HRBPs :
• Lead all country HR related areas (talent assessment, OD, change management, risk analysis & mitigation, staffing needs, succession);
• Coach & influence leaders (performance management, creating an inclusive & high performing team environment; taking the best decisions);
• Talent: recruitment up to managerial level, Employer branding + training coordination
• Build employee engagement by leveraging global frameworks and resources. Foster positive Employee Relations, and own Case Management (conduct, performance, …). On occasion or when required, contribute & involved in local industrial relations (excl plants)
• Lead / participate in site related projects (driven by HSE, Workplace, Covid related, …)
• HR Data Insights: analyse & present data to recommend solutions that support culture & HR strategy
• Understand the drivers of change for business & facilitate design of systems & policies in-country. Follow-up on country labor legislation and translate into policies / regulations.
• HR Capability Building: active member of the community, building strong and effective internal networks & relationships across the model: Plant HR and HR Leader Europe, Centers of Excellence, HR Shared Services, Finance, Talent Acquisition, C&B …
• Lead the Belgium HR Shared Services, including Payroll-Admin-Benefits with people management of 2 HR Specialists.
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong business acumen with 5- 8 years of relevant successful HR experience in a similar environment. Able to operate in a matrix structure and across geographic boundaries and cultures;
• Have self-initiative, creativity, perseverance, and flexibility combined with strong execution skills
• Ability to analyze (people) data and translate the outcome to valuable and actionable insights
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills with strong delivery focus
• Ability to lead and influence without direct authority
• Resilience and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent which represents the available talent pool; developing, growing and retaining talent
• Master’s degree in business, human resources or a related field preferred. Fluent in Dutch, French and English;
