Main Purpose:The Start Up Manager has overall responsibility for the successful implementation of projects through start up and handover to operations. They will work closely with our clients and all areas of Marken including, Commercial Operations, Project Management, logistics, branch/depot operations, kit production and procurement.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Apply industry knowledge and experience to:
  • create/refine start up strategies
  • create project documentation & training materials
  • set up system(s)
  • perform training/handover to other teams
  • procure materials/supplies
  • Presents at client kick off meetings and/or investigator meetings
  • Works with urgency to ensure alignment with timelines and ensures that commitments are realistic and carry over to operations
  • Reviews relevant SOPs, procedures and works on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborates with client and all areas of Marken to ensure successful set up of projects through first shipment/first visit
  • Manage own priorities, maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors with Healthcare or Life Science degree or equivalent industry experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of industry experience
  • A minimum of 1 year leadership responsibility
  • Proven management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative in pursuing positive improvements
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Client focused approach to work
