Sustainability Manager

Within our Strategic Initiatives Enablement Group (STIEG) we build further on Barco’s sustainability strategy and the 2050 net zero roadmap.

Sustainability is facing some challenges in Barco, so we are looking to expand ourteam in Kortrijk with an experienced Sustainability Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Based on sustainability strategy, you will further work out Barco’s sustainability program (Planet, people and communities)
• You plan, prepare and lead the Barco sustainability governance structure (steerco’s, planet and people ambassadors)
• Aligning progresses, getting feedback and sharing learnings with the sustainability ambassadors across BU’s and functions does not scare you
• You measure, analyse, optimize & report on Barco’s sustainability targets (eg carbon footprint, eco labelled revenues, circularity,..) for supplier, employee, academia, media government, public interest or other stakeholders.
• Identifying educational, training or other development opportunities for Barco’s employees and volunteers (eg via inspirational sessions) is within your scope
• You build a learning network from sustainability focused peers & leaders (national/international).
• You review sustainability program objectives, progress, or status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations or laws.

What about data and reporting?

• You develop and manage a data governance strategy for all Sustainability data and KPI’s taking into account new external future standards or legislation (eg EU Taxonomy).
• Increasing the transparency and reliability of Sustainability data in Barco’s centralized tools is within your scope
• You monitor and report the effectiveness of Barco’s sustainability program and steer where necessary (steerco’s, board meetings,...)
• You overlook and support Barco’s annual sustainability report (PPC) and integrate further with Barco’s Financial annual report
• Submitting questionnaires such like CDP, ecovadis and others will be no challenge for you anymore
• You represent Barco in sustainability platforms, councils & learning networks such like Agoria, The Shift,...

Who are we looking for?

• You have a passion for profitable sustainability and at least 3 years of relevant experience or willing to become the expert within Barco via extensive learning
• A degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, environmental management or engineering is a plus.
• You are an excellent team worker: demonstrated ability to motivate others, work as a team and take ownership where required
• You possess excellent communication and presentation skills in English
