System Administrator

We currently have a vacancy for a System Administrator fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices within the ICT infrastructure technology area;
• Provision of technical reports in relation with information systems infrastructure operating and monitoring of a hyper scaled infrastructure;
• Develop scripts and program to facilitate the administrator and automation of the ICT infrastructure;
• Oversee the administration of PostgreSQL database services of the ICT environments and their integration with specific applications;
• Provision of security studies, security assessments and other specific security matters related to ICT applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree combined with relevant IT professional experience of 9 years;
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Windows;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PostgreSQL;
• Very good knowledge of technologies used in secure and highly virtualized environments (hosts, networks, storage, security, availability);
• Good knowledge of Microsoft’s server architecture;
• Great knowledge of MS Office suite, including MS Project and MS Visio, ServiceNow and JIRA;
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
