Fujitsu is currently looking for a System Engineer Network & Securityfor a client in the Civil engineering, maritime and dredging sector

Location: Aalst

Working Hours: Full-time (Onsite 4d/w)- Telework (1d/w)

Experience: 05 - 10 years (Senior)

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Duration : 1 year (Renewable)

Languages:Mandatory Bilingual: Dutch, English (B2)

Responsibilities:

Initiate your day with a strong cup of coffee and a discussion with colleagues.
Handle IT and network support tickets efficiently, seeking optimal solutions.
Respond to inquiries from Technical Support Engineers regarding networks, switching, ICT, or cybersecurity on ships worldwide.
Tackle complex problems with enthusiasm, seeking support from colleagues when needed.
Seamlessly transition between small and large projects and address ad-hoc challenges.
Ensure a high-performance network, a reliable data center, and optimal digital security on a large scale.

Key Duties:

Design, install, and configure global network and security infrastructure.
Support system upgrades and patches, playing a crucial role in managing and optimizing worldwide network infrastructures to safeguard data and systems.
Manage WAN, firewalls, security perimeter, and switches.
Serve as the final internal link in the ICT department’s support process.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an ICT-related field with more than 3 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of switches/routers (Cisco, Aruba), Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto), F5, SSL encryption, VPN, and monitoring.
Methodical and project-oriented work approach; adept at problem-solving under pressure.
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English; willingness to seek assistance from colleagues after independently exploring solutions.
