What you’ll do

In this role, you will:

  • Be the main point of contact for infrastructure incidents and projects in Puurs.
  • Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, storage, firewalls, Wi-Fi, backups, and IT facilities (UPS, racks, cabling, cooling).
  • Oversee daily performance monitoring and risk analysis to ensure uptime and stability.
  • Design infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards and collaborate closely with Automation/OT teams.
  • Work with the Senior System Administrator at our HUB to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Lead infrastructure projects — from network upgrades to data center modernization and hybrid cloud rollouts.
  • Keep documentation, DR plans, and compliance (NIS2) up to date.
  • Contribute to multi-year roadmaps, budgeting, and modernization initiatives.
  • Partner with Cyber Security and business leaders to maintain robust security and compliance.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with strategic thinking:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT Infrastructure, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years in IT infrastructure management.
  • Experience in industrial, pharma, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Cisco networking, VMware, enterprise storage, virtualization, and backup systems.
  • Solid understanding of disaster recovery, high availability, OT infrastructure, and IT facilities.
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure projects end-to-end.
  • Certifications in Cisco, VMware, or Microsoft Azure are an asset.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
