A little bit about Edgard & Cooper:

Once upon a time, our founders wanted to feed their dogs - Edgard and Cooper – pet food they could feel good about. The kind of food that was as good for the planet as it was for their pets. But they couldn’t find anything that was quite right. So….to cut a long story short, they decided to make their own!

Today, 5 years later, Edgard & Cooper has sold over 10 million bags of food, hired over 180 people across Europe and made lots and lots of dogs & cats (and their owners) feel good!

What type of breed are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Manager who will taken an entrepreneurial approach to help grow the Edgard & Cooper Pack.

What will be in your bowl?

As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you will work to build and execute our hiring strategy, strive for consistency in process, grow the pack to support our significant growth and will advise on best practice hiring in our regions. You will work closely with local and global leadership, the TA squad and wider People Pack, to align on our hiring roadmap, give insights into the talent market across all our regions.

What you’ll work on

  • Data Focus: You will build a data-driven strategy, you’ll report on hiring progress, provide insights on the competitor and talent landscape and influence hiring plans with data and research. In addition, you will manage budgets, guard costs and provide reporting.
  • Full life-cycle recruiting: You’ll help scale the pack by owning the recruiting process from start to finish. You’ll recruit roles across the business, at varying levels and particularly focus on critical senior hires as we build out our senior management.
  • Hire the most Pawesome: Your squad’s focus will be on hiring quality candidates with agility and speed. You will implement metrics to track and improve your squad’s success.
  • Help grow a diverse workplace: We believe deeply that bringing together diversity of thoughts & perspectives is key for building the best product for our equally diverse community. You will be a champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, ensuring roles have a diverse candidate slate and the broader team is adopting and evangelizing inclusive hiring practices.
  • Coach & Develop: You’ll grow and coach a squad of recruiters and you will set clear goals and KPIs for the squad.
  • Stakeholder partnership: You will establish trusted partnerships with the pack leads to gain a deeper understanding of their hiring needs. You will coach and advise them on our hiring framework and partner closely to represent and build the Edgard & Cooper culture.
  • Passion for candidate experience: At Edgard & Cooper we are People, Planet and Pets first. Our candidate experience isn’t anything different. You are engaging on the phone and over emails. You can effectively share the Edgard & Cooper story, vision and culture and act as a brand ambassador.

What skills & tricks should you bring?

  • You have a minimum of 7 years in an inhouse global Talent Leadership role, ideally within the European markets.
  • You’ll have experience in a start-up environment which requires you to be flexible, pragmatic, strategic, and take ownership of goals and outcomes.
  • You’re an entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative Recruiter who loves what you do. You’re able to get into the details and deliver quality results on time.
  • You love to get stuck into various platforms such as tech tools, social networks or databases to uncover the best talent. You thrive for recruitment automation.
  • You are people oriented and put your candidates first
  • You are able to influence and work across a variety of stakeholders and you understand how to make decisions based on business priorities
  • You have experience coaching team members
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English. French and German are a plus, too!
