AGC Automotive Europe specializes in providing customers with complete solutions in terms of car glazing and related technologies. Within the context of the shift of the automotive commercial strategy “From volume growth to profit growth” the creation of new solutions (product or service) based on the value recognition by the customer (car maker, new mobility stakeholder or end-consumer) is a key pillar.

A new dedicated structure called Incubation Factory has been created in order to take the lead on the development and the start-up of disruptive solutions and business models within AGC Automotive Europe. The Incubation Factory is currently starting up a new connected car service called Jack, relying on IoT technology and data analytics, and is looking for an experienced technical manager who will have the ownership on Jack technology, and provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of the Jack business. Your mission

As a technical manager for Jack, your mission is to make sure that Jack business strategy is properly supported with the right hardware and software and to build a long-term product roadmap that will reinforce and maintain Jack’s competitive advantage.

Your responsibilities

• Gather product requirements from customers and business team and drive the product roadmap accordingly, short-term and long-term.
• Act as SCRUM product owner for the cross-competencies development team : hardware, embedded software, full-stack, mobile, data science.
• Coordinate and functionally lead the technical team, developers, external consultants and suppliers involved in the development of the solution.
• Coordinate the production of the Jack hardware device with the manufacturer.
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
• Monitor KPIs and development budget.
• Communicate technical strategy and development status to internal stakeholders (AGC top management) and external stakeholders (Customers)
• Report to Jack CEO, and indirectly to Incubation Factory Management and AGC Automotive Management.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, embedded systems or electronics.
• At least 3, preferably 5, years of relevant experience as a developer/engineer in an Agile environment, dealing with electronic systems and software.
• Demonstrated success in using cutting edge hardware and software technologies and delivering successful products to answer business challenges.
• First experience required in project management or product ownership.
• Relevant experience in hardware industrialization is a plus.
• Relevant experience or strong affinity in automotive industry or mobility services and technologies is a plus.
• Autonomous, pro-active, entrepreneurial spirit, agile, willing to work within dynamic team, with personal and organizational sensitivity
• Fluent English language mandatory. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.
