Description

The department International Projects, part of the division Turnkey & International Projects, located in Grimbergen (Brussels) is looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer (Piping & Mechanical) to realize our ever challenging objectives.

As a Tendering Engineer you prepare the offers, based on project demands, cost factors and preliminary planning. You have internal contact with the Purchasing, Planning and Construction team and you are in touch with suppliers and subcontractors.

More specifically, you are responsible for:

  • the coordination of the offering process with the Sales and Tendering team
  • the analysis of scope of works
  • imagining the best way for implementation, in accordance with the applicable standards and specifications of the customer
  • the calculation of the working hours, based on internal guidelines
  • consultation of the the market prices for supplies and subcontracting
  • the active discussion with the Construction teams to obtain the best offer
  • trying to include the technical and financial risks of projects in your cost price calculations as much as possible
  • preparing the offer together with all requested information
  • preparing and attending technical and commercial clarifications with the customer
  • improving the offer adequately in order to obtain the purchase order

Qualifications

Your qualifications and skills:

  • master or experienced professional bachelor
  • proven experience in estimating and/or on projects is necessary
  • very good knowledge of Excel
  • strong numerical intellect and very accurate with figures
  • good analytical skills
  • strong intellectual ability to approach data and figures at different tactical levels
  • team player
  • able to work under pressure and respect deadlines
  • very good knowledge of Dutch and English (read, speak and write)
