Department
The Daikin Europe NV (DENV) Transport Refrigeration Department oversees the strategy, business development, marketing and product support for transport refrigeration units designed and manufactured by Daikin. Transport Refrigeration is a new member of Daikin’s comprehensive Cold Chain offering, and will be a rapidly growing business in the coming years. Our vision is to be a leader in the electrification of the Transport Refrigeration industry through innovation and customer-centric solutions.

Function
As the Transport Refrigeration Service Solutions Officer, you will be based in Brussels, Belgium, reporting to the Transport Refrigeration Services Section Manager. You will be responsible for developing and managing service solutions that generate recurring revenue stream for the Transport Refrigeration business with emphasis in Europe, and extending globally. Being in a headquarters role, you will get a 360-degree view of the Transport Refrigeration business as well as DENV group structure and processes.

  • Portfolio – Daikin Transport Refrigeration aims to offer various service solutions (e.g. maintenance contract, extended warranty, 24/7 emergency support, telematics) on the newly launched flagship product, Exigo. Service Solutions Officer is end-to-end responsible for this portfolio, including further development and extension of our offering. He/she will be supported by the marketing function to communicate our value proposition.
  • Pricing – The role is in charge of pricing these offerings through competitor analysis, and in line with Daikin’s revenue and profitability targets. He/she will establish structured communication with DENV Services and Solutions Business Unit to reach consensus on strategy and ensure smooth implementation into our sales affiliates.
  • Processes–The international aspect of Transport Refrigeration requires different business processes than Daikin’s traditional business model based on stationary equipment. The role will be in charge of implementing such processes such as activation, renewal, financials, by collaborating with relevant departments in DENV.
  • Tools– Service Solutions Officer will work with digital solutions department to implement a customer interface for the service offerings. Daikin Stand By Me, will be adapted for the Transport Refrigeration business, to ensure reliability and best-in-class customer experience.
  • Reporting– This role will be responsible for setting annual revenue and profitability targets, and continuously follow-up progress and implement countermeasures where necessary. He/she will develop a KPI dashboard, together with the business analytics function, and will be responsible for management progress reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement – As an HQ member of a new business function within the company, we value the input of all team members to help improve our processes, enhance our products and services, and fine tune our strategies. Service Solutions Officer is expected to participate in continuous improvement of the overall Transport Refrigeration business and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Your Profile
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • In-depth experience in service solutions, automotive and/or refrigeration will be a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a large multi-national with a matrix team structure
  • Experienced in data management and analysis
  • Proficient in IT, capable of learning the SAP system
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and presenting to an audience
  • Results-oriented, and stimulated by new challenges
  • Willing to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Valid drivers license in the EU
