Job Summary

UPS Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, is expanding in Europe. UPS Capital provides risk mitigation and financial solutions for business of all size and industries along global supply chains. Cargo Insurance, ParcelPro™ Select (PPS), UPS® Customized Declared Value (CDV) and UPS Proactive Response® Secure (UPRS) are products that are currently offered. Additional team members will be required to further support the expansion and growth. We are looking for an intern who comes with a high engagement, possesses creativity, has a fun & bright vibe, great analytical skills and embraces change.

The Interns at UPS Capital work on targeted projects individually, or in small teams. Internships are full-time positions within UPS Capital. The Intern is responsible for providing internal support finding ways to eliminate wastefulness in processes. He/She will work with business partners across multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies. Projects require operational observations, data collection, cross functional communication, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

Projects include, but are not limited to:

• Gathers and analyzes data to develop work measurement for any department
• Cost benefit analysis
• Process improvement analysis
• Operational planning
• Preforms data analytics to support business
• Supports subject matter experts in specific business areas while expanding his/her knowledge base
• Breaks down complex concepts into comprehensible concepts to ensure appropriate level of communication and understanding for the project stakeholders
• Prepares reports for management to provide updates on the projects’ progress, risks, results, and successes
