For our Bruges sitewe are currently looking for a motivated and enthousiastic Workshop/Line Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the job is to Manage all the manufacturing activities for a project(s) in the Line/Workshop including the responsibilities linked to the position as hierarchical manager of all the employees of the manufacturing organization who belong to this Manufacturing Line/Workshop.
Key Responsabilities
The main responsibilities during the different stages of the project execution are:
- During the product preparation phase you will
- give the inputs from manufacturing requirements to, Supply chain process definition & validation, Quality plan validation, Industrialization,
- Start the preparations with the Industrial team of the line/workshop layout, including resources and skill requirement, …
- As of new product introduction and serial manufacturing you will
- Be responsible for the complete scope of manufacturing activities for the product on the line/workshop assuring the SQCD for the line/workshop,
- Put in place continuous improvement performance of the line/workshop by applying Lean Manufacturing Methods, Six Sigma Methods,
- time management (presence management and activity management) of all employees, and assure compliance with local legislation,
- continuously improving occupational safety, including contractors (if applicable) working for the manufacturing line/workshop,
- further develop your team on skills/competencies product-related and technology-related processes, personal qualification,
- Responsible for the implementation and application of the corporate policies (IRIS, EHS, Ethics and Compliance….)
- Minimum Higher Technical/General degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience, previous position in an industrial environment
- Desirable experience in Railway industry, preferably within an industrialization environment
- Working knowledge of: Industrial Management, Site Facilities & Maintenance, Transfer of Technology, Ergonomic, Configuration & Change Management
- Basic awareness of Automation / Robotization
- Profound knowledge of Team Management including management of cross functional teams
- Fluent in Dutch
- French and English is a plus
