Context

Aperam is building a resilient supply chain delivering the best service to our customers and at better costs than any competitor, with the best-in-class inventory rotation of the sector.

In the context of the Supply Chain transformation, we continue to implement the associated process evolutions in our routines and IT Tools.

Mission

Within the supply chain team of 1st center Genk, we are looking for a profile to control and improve the overall yield performance over the complete supply chain with complementary skills to master the Genk’s OMP solution (managing Material Use Optimisation based on the customer Order Book as well as on the Planning and Scheduling solutions installed).

Ensuring a close cooperation with involved parties within and across the borders of the 1st center is key to find structural improvements.

Responsibilities

  • You monitor yield performance, share the results with involved parties
  • You stimulate initiatives to reach the targets and further improvement.
  • You translate business needs and requirements into functional and system specifications.
  • You take the lead in adapting and optimising the OMP solution in a project based approach.
  • As Genk’s OMP expert, you’ll be benchmarking with other OMP experts in the company to understand and align the business architecture.
  • You maintain excellent relationships with all involved parties within and across the borders of the 1st center.

Profile

  • You are keen on working on a complex IT model with strong applied mathematics background (solvers)
  • You have good knowledge of supply chain IT systems
  • You have preferably experience in customer service and/or product quality
  • You have excellent problem solving skills
  • You are analytical and rigorous
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team motivates you.
  • You are connected, and able to work in collaborative mode across the border of your own perimeter
  • You speak Dutch and English, other Aperam languages (French / German / ...) are a plus
