Oliver James is looking for a Medior Field Network Engineer who is interested to work for a large logistics company.
If you have a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the will to be on the field, you are the person that we are looking for!


Role
The primary responsibility is to provide technical support and assistance to customers, clients, and colleagues on the field.


What Will you do?

  • You will become responsible for deploying the new network solution (can include racking) based on the deployment plan and design, offered by the project engineer.
  • You will be able to validate the installation and do the required troubleshooting in case needed.
  • You will be responsible for diagnosing and solving the problem when issues arise with equipment or systems.
  • You will collect and analyse data: Field engineer may be responsible for collecting and analysing data related to equipment performance, maintenance, or usage.
  • You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and technicians to complete projects and resolve technical issues.
  • You will be focussing on network implementations / migrations.
  • You will do the installation of the rollout migration during night or weekend.
  • You will be able to migrate in the EMEA area (France, Germany, Spain), there are 85 sites to migrate.
  • You will have 2 weeks onboarding for safety training.

What we are looking for :


  • You have at least 3 years of experience.
  • You have a perfect knowledge in English and Dutch.
  • You have a good experience in installations /migrations/ troubleshooting.
  • You are an experienced medior network engineers with Cisco knowledge.
  • You have experience with Cisco Catalyst
  • You have a very good IT knowledge.
  • You master tools like OSPF, SDWAN, DNA Center, Access Point, DHCP, DNS;
  • You have a good knowledge wireless LAN.
  • You have a basic knowledge of firewalls (Checkpoint).
  • You have a basic virtual/physical server knowledge.
- You have a basic knowledge of routing - CCNA certification.
  • You have a moderate knowledge of Cisco switching.
  • You live around Antwerp.
