Your role and working environment

The Business Consulting team Belgium consists of a number of professionals who combine their broad knowledge of the bank with consulting expertise to help our business executives to be successful.

As Strategy consultant, you will assist executive board members and business unit with strategy formulation across various business lines, where we focus on high visibility and high impact projects.

The exposure to a wide range of topics, business lines and top management makes the team an ideal breeding ground for future management.

This role is a senior position in our team - where you are responsible for analyzing, composing and delivering a detailed solution to the issue at hand. To achieve that, you work with a multi-disciplined project team composed of 2-3 consultants, representatives of internal clients and (sometimes) external consultants.

As a Senior Consultant your key responsibilities are to:

• Establish trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, focused on a clear understanding of their challenges and opportunities.
• Tackle complex business challenges based on a deep understanding of our strategy, organization, and external trends
• Deliver advice to support decision making and enable execution – highlighting the qualitative and quantitative impact of different scenarios
• Design and co-create methods and tooling to empower senior stakeholders to prioritize and deliver on their purpose
• Translate change demands in to implementable solutions and ensure the acceptance

• Contribute to the development of the relevant expertise of the more junior members of the team • Create alignment across different areas of the bank on strategic themes

You will also need :

• Very strong academic track record, with a university degree (Masters-level required);
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with minimum 2 years of work experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm;

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills - a clear understanding how to link strategy to financial plans; experience in MS Excel and other data analytics tools is required; • Strong business sense, with demonstrated interest in the Financial Services sector;

• Ability to utilize research to develop deep insights and drive actionable results (“business sense”); • Persistent, open and convincing communicator. Able to work effectively with all levels in the organization, including senior management;

• Clear history of success and driving impact;
• Ability to work effectively in diverse teams;
• Excellent level of English (written and spoken), and ideally Dutch or French
