Pentair is one of the largest water filtration, water treatment and beverage dispensing equipment manufacturers. We have an opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our European Commercial Systems team within our Consumer Solutions segment, which is a leading global provider for water treatment products for residential and commercial applications. For our Commercial Systems customers we offer a diverse portfolio of water technology products under brands Everpure and Shurflo, both of which are the industry’s most recognized names.

The core purpose of the roleis to accelerate our growth within the Benelux and Nordics by managing and growing existing dealers/distributors, prospecting new potential dealers/distributors and developing relationships with key accounts.

The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record in sales with a technical affinity and a knowledge and/or experience within the foodservice market.

Tasks & Responsibility

Maintain and expand the sale of our products with existing distributors and look for new potential distributors by preparing presentations or product demonstrations, proposals and sales contracts, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction,

  • Develop direct dialogue with end users and target accounts. Implement (global) key account strategies within own region
  • Identify and develop business opportunities through defined routes to market. Follow up with sales prospects and manage them to establish a customer relationship
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies and implement the agreed marketing plans (incl. trade fairs and exhibitions) in line with the Company’s vision and values
  • Provide voice of the customers to support the development and introduction of new products
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities as well as give feedback on competition and market trends
  • Contribute to the training and educational programs of clients
  • Maintain and provide accurate records of all pricings, sales and activity related information

Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others, and build long lasting business relationships
  • To possess the ability to quickly understand our technical products and their applications
  • Work requires significant travel mainly within the assigned territory
  • Independent and well organized when managing simultaneous projects
  • Willingness to make the extra effort for the highest customer satisfaction with solid decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Speak Dutch, French and English. Any other European language is a plus
  • 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience preferably within the water treatment or food service (equipment) industry

Location: Home office but also Flex/Hybrid work is possible from our site in Herentals, Belgium
