In Maasmechelen Village, we are looking for an Assistant Retail and Architecture Manager who is responsible for the coordination of all the activities the retail development team is working on. This can be seen in two main pillars being own projects initiated by The Bicester Village Shopping Collection (such as office remodelling, VIP room designs, Tourist information centre, village kiosks, private client services, electrical vehicle chargers, building alterations …) and retail projects initiated and executed by the best brands of the world that are present in our village.

As an Assistant Retail and Architecture Manager, you’ll be working together with the Retail Development Director and the Retail Development Manager, in partnership with our brands and our internal teams. You will be responsible for the coordination of various aspects in the boutique opening process, reportings and presentations and you will be able to project manage your own projects.

You know perfectly how to coordinate contractor activities, brand inductions and briefings related to shop-fits. You co- own the fit-out process for new openings and the information flow between local departments and external consultants. You will develop photomontages and architectural plan sketches and project manage on site from inception to completion. You facilitate all communication with contractors, project managers or suppliers and monitor progress of works on-site to ensure work schedule is adhered to. You are constantly thinking of new sustainable ideas to meet the Village’s needs and the needs of the future generations.

· Bachelor/Master degree in Interior Architect or Architecture or equal by relevant experience.

• Proven work experience (3 to 5 years) as an (interior/)architect in preferably luxury or retail environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, any other languages skills would be highly advantageous.
• Experienced at using Autocad, Photoshop, Sketchup and MS Office.
• Able to demonstrate significant experience in project management, as well as interior/store design experience
• Experience in or have a strong affinity with sustainability related projects. (energy usage, material usage, recycling, well being, etc…)
• A self-starter, as well as disciplined, organised and deadline-driven
• Innovative and obsessive about the detail
• Passionate about luxury retail, interior design, sustainability and up to date with current trends
• An exceptional eye for detail and an ‘even better if’ mentality
• Approachable and Team player.
