You as a Bid & Proposal Specialist, will be part of Power Grids business based in Brabant, Belgium and Les Ulis, France. You are responsible for creating and completing bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all Hitachi ABB Power Grids and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

Your Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the creation of commercially, legally and technically optimized and correct system offers within complex projects, based on the specifications of our international customers.
  • Strategic definition of the scope of delivery.
  • Solicitation process with subcontractors, as well as EPC and consortium partners.
  • Cost calculation and determination of the sales price in cooperation with sales.
  • Timely bid proposal management.
  • Support of sales in contract negotiation on site.
  • Preparation of documents for internal reviews.
  • Regular feedback to product managers and the Marketing department.

Your background
  • Bachelor in communication industry or telecommunication engineering.
  • Additional commercial training or continuing education would be advantageous.
  • Ideally some years of work experience in communication technology.
  • Basic know how in TDM and packed switched networks.
  • Good knowledge of the communication technology market, ideally in the power industry.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and MS Project.
  • Worldwide travel requirements: around 10%
  • Fluent in French and English.
