Work environment

You will be part of the Structural Engineering team, within the Business Line Urban in Tractebel. The department provides civil engineering advice on the full life cycle of projects, from feasibility studies, conceptual & detailed design, to execution phase and follow-up of the construction works. The projects are diverse and include all types of constructions: buildings, transport infrastructure, industrial plants, water infrastructure, ...

The team counts about 70 engineers, architects, consultants, designers and support staff, present in Belgium on 4 different sites (Ghent, Hasselt, Brussels & Namur) and also in Romania. You can choose which office in Belgium you work from.

 Mission

• You participate in the structural design/drawings in our (infrastructure) projects
  
• Technical development of the structural design of a building to create formwork and reinforcement plans (2D and 3D)
• 3D-modelling of the structural design (REVIT)
• Coordination between the architectural, structural and the technical design
  
• You are responsible for the timing and quality of the BIM Model
• You work together with colleagues, external partners (such as architects, other design and engineering consultancies, contractors during the construction phase, etc.) and clients in a constructive way
• You have an international mindset and collaborate with our offices abroad for certain modelling tasks and take the necessary actions to guarantee the required quality
  
  

Kwalificaties

Profile

• You have a bachelor degree or master degree in civil engineering
• Minimum 3 years of REVIT experience in structural design projects in BIM environment. Preferably experience with infrastructure projects (tunnels and bridges) for structures
• Good knowledge of Dutch. Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is welcome
• You have a good knowledge of Autdesk REVIT, creating components/families, and working in a BIM environment by using clash detection and schedules
• You are a client oriented - you will present the BIM model to the customer
• You have experience with parametic design
• Experience with reinforcement in REVIT is a important asset
• You have ability to work remotely within a team spread over 4 sites in Belgium and also in Romania
