Company: POLITICOPOLITICO is hiring a Breaking News Reporterto join our growing Brussels newsroom to write news copy on a range of topics from national politics to diplomacy and foreign affairs.The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable ability to write quick and accurate news stories in English and a strong interest in European politics. They will have solid news judgment, as well as being an enthusiastic and proactive team player. The position involves flexible working, including early morning, evening and weekend shifts.POLITICO’s award-winning journalism drives the politics and policy agenda in the EU capital and across the continent. This reporter will join a team in Brussels that is committed to providing non-partisan, distinctive journalism and finding innovative ways to win our audience’s attention.Qualifications

• At least one year of newsroom experience
• Experience covering spot news and an established ability to write quickly and accurately to tight deadlines
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Fluency in multiple European languages a strong advantage
• Background in European or national political news coverage an advantage
• 100 wpm shorthand an advantage
