As a Business Analyst you will be the first analyst in the “E2E design chain”: an active co-creation with our internal business stakeholders and your access to relevant customer input are key elements to come to solid business requirements. Interacting with our IT and network technology partners, aligning on business processes and consciously designing application changes are other parts of your day-to-day job.

SME/LE Business Analyst

Business context

The “SME/LE Design chapter” is recruiting a "Business Analyst", assigned to one of the SME/LE squads:

• A business analyst assigned to a portfolio squad, will participate in executing SME/LE’s converged connectivity & solutions product related roadmaps, in close collaboration with product management and marketing oriented colleagues
• A business analyst assigned to an ECO squad (Enabling & Connectivity Operations), will participate in realizing operational changes and transformational initiatives contributing to SME/LE’s “frictionless & caring one-stop-shop” ambition
  

As a Business Analyst you will be the first analyst in the “E2E design chain”: an active co-creation with our internal business stakeholders and your access to relevant customer input are key elements to come to solid business requirements. Interacting with our IT and network technology partners, aligning on business processes and consciously designing application changes are other parts of your day-to-day job.

On the operational readiness side, the Business Analyst, together with other squad members and stakeholders, will make sure that the business teams are well prepared and equipped to absorb the implemented changes in their daily activities.

(*) The “SME/LE Design chapter” is one of the SME/LE domain’s own chapters, grouping different “design” oriented profiles, like the in-squad Business Analysts and Business Consultants and the transverse operating Business Architects.

Key roles & responsibilities – The job of a Business Analyst …

Analysis of the business needs & challenges – You work together with customers and relevant stakeholders, you (proactively) gather the questions, issues and/or opportunities, you analyse the requirements and determine their impact on existing processes, the organization, the customer experience, and systems and tools.

Defining the solution direction – you work together with architects and technical teams, you examine and analyse possible solution directions while determining the impact (or risk) for the organization, the customer experience, costs, existing processes, systems and tools. You facilitate the alignment on the final solution.

Documenting the chosen solution – You assure the dialog with the technical teams for the implementation of the solution. You detail the chosen solution (business requirements, user stories, etc.) and align with the business stakeholders. You develop and maintain coherent analysis deliverables.

Assuring operational readiness – You determine the acceptance criteria and acceptance of the end-to-end solution working together with the business stakeholders and guide them in their change management. Where applicable, this also means testing the solution.

Acting as a domain expert for internal stakeholders – You organize the knowledge administration and manage the consistent documentation for this business domain.

You have a sharp mind - you are analytical and decision making oriented, you have strong conceptual skills, you are able to challenge ideas and bring up valuable alternatives.

You are an agile team player – a project team / squad with clear business mission will be your home base, you are able to reach out from this squad to your (often diverse) stakeholder community and keep them engaged & informed throughout the life cycle of your initiatives

You are keen on taking ownership & responsibility

You are strong in communication – you can adapt your written & spoken communication depending on your target audience

You are open for change – you are familiar with working in a dynamic project based environment with changing agendas and priorities; your proven agile and IT/telecom background is definitely a plus
