Overview

Smurfit Kappa Cartomills is part of an international organization with its HQ in Dublin. Smurfit is the world leader in carton packaging solutions. Smurfit Kappa Cartomills has a varied customer portfolio both in terms of geographical spread (France, Belgium, Netherlands…) and in terms of products. Within our company, the customer is central and his satisfaction is our daily challenge. It is in this context that we are looking for a Business Analyst for our Financial Department in Ghlin (near Mons).

Responsibilities

In this role, your overall responsibilities are:

• Gathering, validating and documenting business requirements
• Gathering, verifying, analyzing and correcting data (sourcing)
• Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for the company

These responsibilities translate in following tasks:

Data

Gather data from our different IT systems and tools and analyze them in order to detect incoherence to improve overall data quality. You will improve and develop data streams in collaboration with our IT specialists as well as standardize data reportings when necessary. You will be in charge of analyzing commercial data such as budgets, sales results and forecasts and designing business solutions based on (new and existing) data and reportings.

Processes

You will model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements based on needs and collected data/information. You will also identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts. You will evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. You will be in charge of leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies as well as updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.

Projects

You will manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance. You gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports and follow-ups. You will be working closely with clients, technicians, and (managerial) staff and prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements. You will monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Good MS Office competences, especially Excel (advanced)

The ideal candidate will have a proven analytical education.

Experience working with decision makers, analytical experience as well as a first experience in a Production environment are a plus.
