Function:

Business solutions can only work optimally if they meet the actual needs of the business, now and in the future. That is where you, as a business architect, come in. You will design the services, processes and information flows and form a bridge with the teams that build these solutions.

As a business architect, you will work in Colruyt Group IT’s service centre Information & Performance Watch. Your service supports our department Business–Analytics & Insights (BA&I), which assists our co-workers in handling data and information. At Colruyt Group, we have a wealth of data and information and we want to use it to generate real added value. BA&I is the central contact point for all questions within the company regarding reporting, cockpits and analytics.

The service centre contributes to ensuring BA&I can deliver the necessary platforms and processes. Tableau, SAP Business Ojects, SAP Hana, Hadoop + ecosystem, Python, R, etc. are just a few examples of existing or potential new tools.

By answering the needs of the department, you as a business architect will give shape to business solutions. You will convert their strategy and requirements into an architecture in terms of services, processes and information flows. You will do this for concrete projects and programme releases and within the framework of enterprise architecture and programme architecture.

What will you do specifically?

• You will translate the strategic goals into projects and an operational project road map. You will also participate in drawing up idea sheets and project sheets.
• You will monitor the cohesion between different projects and take the initiative to clarify obscurities with the involved parties.
• You will start from the business context to map potential business solutions. In doing so, you will look at services, high-level processes, information flows, etc.
• To find solutions that take all needs into account, you will regularly consult with a variety of parties, both in your own department and outside of it.
• You will support the project manager in the elaboration of the concrete work load and planning, and you will estimate what the needed resources are.
• By tuning in regularly with the project team members you will ensure that the chosen business solution is applied consistently according to the needs of the customer.

You will primarily work in Halle and as soon as you are up to speed, you will be able to work from home or at one of our regional offices up to two days a week (Mechelen, Haasrode, Merelbeke, Deinze, etc.).

Profile:

• Knowledge and experience– You have a master’s degree in a relevant field of study or the equivalent through experience. You have mastered business analysis techniques and are capable of modelling a business context and solution. Knowledge of the ArchiMate architecture framework is a plus. You have experience in an information driven or data driven context such as data science or business intelligence.
• Conceptual and creative - You do not get lost in details, but see the bigger picture. You see connections long before other people do. You explore different creative alternatives to come to the best possible solution.
• Analytical and goal-oriented -You can easily structure complex matters. You never let your end goal get out of sight and always keep an overview.
• Communication skills - You can listen and adapt to your stakeholders. You are gifted with the talent of explaining complex problems in a simple way.
• Dare to give advice- You are not afraid to keep asking questions until you really grasp the essence of the problem. You imagine yourself in the client’s situation and then propose the best solution.
• Languages -You communicate fluently in English (Dutch is a plus) so that you can work together well with all your colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
