Essential Qualifications/Experience

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 7 - 10 years of Software implementation experience and in configuring and integration of business applications
  • Data Modelling and Design. Proficient in designing normalized and denormalized data models, star/snowflake schemas
  • In depth knowledge and extensive experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard design
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Proficiency
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator for designing and implementing ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Training/Certifications:

Microsoft Power BI (Report Server and Desktop)

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA)

ETL Tools (e.g. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI))

Oracle Data Base

SQL

Data Warehousing Concepts

Data Modelling

DAX

Reporting and Data Visualization Tools

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

  • Proven experience as a BI Consultant, a strong understanding of Power BI and DWH architecture, components, functionalities and Oracle and Microsoft Data base security
  • Prior experience of working in Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with ODAC

Duties/Role

  • Proficiently manage Power BI Report Server and Power BI Desktop proficient, including setup, configuration and optimization
  • Write SQL and integrate various data sources (including Oracle) in Power BI
  • Develop and publish interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Create and maintain data models in Power BI
  • Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced data analysis and calculations
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the Power BI environment
  • Troubleshoot activities and resolve issues related to Power BI Report Server and Power BI Desktop
  • Identify data objects from OBIA data warehouses and data marts
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OBIA-related issues
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including flat files, APIs, and other databases, into Oracle Data Base
  • Write SQL and optimize database queries, ODI mappings, and ETL processes for performance and scalability (including OBIA)
  • Stay current with the latest OBIA best practices and technologies
  • Conduct data analysis and requirements gathering sessions with clients
  • Provide expert consultation on data warehousing, business intelligence, and data visualization best practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
