Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Chief Accounting Officerfor a permanent position based in Evere.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the automotive sector.

As Chief Accounting Officer You Will Be Responsible For
  • You are responsible for the accounting of five separate legal entities within Belgium;
  • Oversee accounting staff and provide guidance when needed
  • Prepare and manage ledgers
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
  • Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Coordinate with HQ, commercial finance teams and off-shore shared service centers to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
  • Take the lead in both internal and external audits, provide necessary information, and prepare requested documentations
  • Organise and document financial reports
  • Ensure financial reporting controls are fully SOX compliant
  • Prepare bi-annual forecasts and yearly budgets
  • Examine financial statements to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations
  • In conjunction with internal Tax colleagues, ensure full compliance with all regulatory reporting and compliance for all Belgian tax matters
  • Implement new procedures based on changes in regulatory laws
  • Attend all necessary conferences or continuing education seminars.
The Required Profile For The Chief Accounting Officer Position
  • You obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting-related field;
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in general accounting and 3 years in a senior position;
  • You have excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Thorough understanding of current compliance regulations
  • Ability to use a variety of accounting software
  • You have experience in drafting reports and preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
