Where will you be working?
The S2E (Service 2 Employee) IT department manages the world of "your digital workplace" and therefore steers - together with Corporate HR, Facility Management and Communication – the digitalization of all company employees. We provide you with your personal laptop, which allows you to be connected at the office, at the client’s premises and at home at all times. We connect your mobile devices. We boost your digitality via the O365 applications and we give insight in how you can grow in digital collaboration using the digital footprint. We support you in using the digital tools and offer help and solutions to problems via DOCK! Portal, DOCK! Store and DOCK! Line.

What is the strategic context?
This vacancy is situated in the "S2E Citrix team". We want to roll out more than 400 applications virtualized on Citrix in a performant and secure way as user friendly as possible by end of this year. The Citrix team ensures that Citrix Applications and Citrix Virtual Desktops are offered to the employees in such a way that the local footprint on the FLEX PC, GLOW PC and Virtual Desktops is as small as possible.

Responsibilities:
As a system architect you are the neutral person, being the bridge between the system architect(s) and the project team. You can align the different ideas and requirements and propose the best possible solution, fulfilling the expectations of both parties. Goal is to advise if the new ideas out of the project do fit with the architect’s requirements. Architects from different departments (Servers, Networks, Security, ...) are updating their expectations to Citrix based on the newest insights. We need to see how we can fulfill them and what impact it has to workload and deadlines. Your goal is to support the designated the architect in Citrix knowledge and to support the project team in defending new ideas and ways of working to different architectural committees. After getting a view on the global project requirements, we expect you can give us both inside and outside view and propose Citrix ways working fitting the current strategy and roll out plan for the new Flex computers.
You keep the helicopter-view and you will support the design and development. You will help ensure that the team can deliver value to our customers in a high-performance manner. You can report overall status en inform management about possible problems in planning, in design, in development. Your technical experience in Windows operating systems and Citrix Virtualization is an important asset. Stability, performance, and security of the solution are crucial parameters, in which the needs of
our customers are central. You can help us in solving performance issues and can propose automation solutions. You can advise us in selecting app layering tools en monitoring tools. It is equally important that you can work in a team in which feedback and new ideas can be freely shared so that the team and you can continue to grow within the agile structure of the ART DOCK! Factory train. You show an agile mindset in your collaboration .

As a Citrix System architect,

• You are the most experienced Citrix person in the team
• People are looking to you for advice
• You have done bigger projects in the past You possess the following skills:
• You have a strong expertise in Citrix environments like Citrix APPS, Citrix Virtual Desktops and Citrix Gateway (NetScaler ADC). You can provide a number of experiences as a reference.
• You are certified Citrix administrator in the latest Citrix products.
• You are able to transfer your thorough Citrix experience to colleagues.
• Work experience in international context is a plus.
• Insides in the Citrix community is expected.
• You have at least 10 to 20 years’ experience in different Citrix environments.
• You have broad technical experience in Windows Server operating systems.
• Knowledge of automation in virtual environments (Application Management) is a plus.
• You are communicative and confident to take the lead in creating and implementing new services and automations.
• You are able to work in a rapidly changing environment and constantly strive for improvement and quality.
• You are flexible and can respond quickly to unforeseen circumstances, last-minute adjustments and (sometimes) tight deadlines
