The opportunity
We are looking for a local Compensation & Benefits Expert, based in Haren, Brussels (Belgium), in charge of compensation and benefits for Belgium and Luxemburg.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include
· You define and administer local compensation and benefits policies and plans in line with Group C&B policies (eg CLA N° 90 Plans in Belgium, seniority benefits, warrants & stock plans, implementation of new company car policy, flex income plan…). This includes diving into the figures and calculation of local compensation plans on a regular basis.
· You administrate, implement and communicate the group policies regarding short term & long term incentives at local country level, including semestrial bonus calculations for the concerned eligible population;
· You ensure compliancy of C&B policies and practices with local legislation;
· You conduct salary surveys, prepare reports and make recommendations based on market data analysis (salary surveys, benchmarks…), monitor and research local compensation and benefits trends in your scope of responsibilities; ensure local compensation and benefits plans are cost-effective;
· You watch over consistency of pay structure in line with the local job classifications. Prepare and update salary scales;
· You participate in projects around harmonization exercises on terms and conditions.
Your Profile
· At least 5 years of working experience as C&B Specialist, preferably in an international environment
· Can do mentality, willing to dig into the practical and spend part of the time on operational aspect of C&B
· Profound experience in HR practices with expertise in compensation cycles management
· Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits plans
· Knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems preferable WTW methodology
· Adequate knowledge of current Belgian labour rules and regulations and preferable knowledge of labour rules and regulation of Luxembourg
· Extensive knowledge of HRIS and MS Office, extensive knowledge of Excel is a must
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills
· Willingness to work on a daily basis with figures and analysis
· Excellent communicating and interpersonal skills
· A high level of common sense and logic thinking
· Ability to work both independently and in an autonomous way
· Ability to formulate concrete & practical advise for your stakeholders, based upon thorough & upfront analysis
· Able to work in a matrix environment and connect with various stakeholders
· Confidentiality and sensitivity, particularly when making judgments on specific issues
· University work & thinking level with preferably a master’s degree in human resources, finance, business administration, economics or related
· Fluent in English and Dutch or French with an intermediate level in the 3rd language
