Punch Powertrain is an independent full system supplier of fuel efficient powertrains. With over 40 years of experience in the production of CVT Transmissions, Punch Powertrain also offers electric powertrains for New Energy Vehicles such as Plugin Hybrids (PHEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), as well as DCT Transmissions. Automotive Powertrain

MISSION: Build Market knowledge to help Punch Powertrain to make effective decisions regarding Product Roadmap and Business Strategy

SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION ON THE ORGANIZATION:

Being a part of a global marketing team, the CIM gathers, analyzes and distributes intelligence on products, market conditions and regulations, competitors and customers for business decision-making. She/he delivers presentations and provides actionable recommendations to make effective decisions regarding Product Roadmap and Business Strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define, gather, analyze, and distribute intelligence about products, customers, competitors, regulation, technologies, macroeconomic data and any aspect of the automotive powertrain
• Identify and analyze emerging threats, disruptive changes and potential opportunities within a fast-changing industry.

• Support the BU teams to understand competitors sales tactics, product features and value proposition; to drive the benchmark activities and to develop the competitive response strategy,

• Produce ongoing executive-facing deliverables with insights, implications, and recommendations that impact long-term competitive strategy, including executive briefs, regulation updates, in-depth competitor/customer profiles and competitive alerts

• Establish and maintain a closely aligned working partnership with internal partners across the organization, leveraging diverse and fragmented data sources to drive insights.

• Must have knowledge of the Automotive Powertrain industry, establishing a strong network, including key industry groups (e.g. CATARC, CLEPA, VDA, SAE Automotive), clients and experts (internal and external).

• Attends trade shows and visits customer/competitor exhibits to gather promotional material and ask questions about customer/competitor products, services, prices and future plans.

PROFILE:

· Engineering degree required

· 5 - 10 years of experience in Automotive industry, ideally in Powertrain business.

· Marketing knowledge in a B2B environment.

· Fluent in English. 2nd language knowledge of German and/or Chinese is a plus.

· Ability to professionally and effectively deliver presentations to Executive team and large

groups.

· Good knowledge of automotive market across main regions Europe, Asia and Americas is a

plus.

· Experience at OEMs or Tier 1 supplier is a strong plus.

· Dedication and flexibility to work. Strong connectivity to other time zone (CET).

· Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

OUTPUT:

· Regulation overview

· Market & sales related reporting to support Sales & Marketing team

· Competitor and customer profiles,

· Market, Regulation, Customers and Competitors inputs for strategic planning.

· Participate and present to Industry Conferences and Fairs.

· Contribution to Weekly , monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and newsletters,
