We are looking for an ambitious and engaging black belt with significant operational experience who can lead and/or coach complex transversal problem solves and process improvements using six sigma or lean methodology.

You will work within a team that supports the entire Belgian site (Global Industrial and Operational Quality).You will be highly adaptable with exceptional social skills and learning agility allowing you to quickly integrate into small and cross-functional project teams. You will lead and/or coach experts to quickly identify the root causes for complex investigations and to identify process improvements.

This is a highly visible role and a fantastic opportunity for you to build six sigma and lean capability on the Belgian site, solve transversal business critical problems and improve transversal processes.

Your Responsibilities
  • You apply advanced Six Sigma expertise:
  • You lead and/or coach business critical DMAIC projects to solve complex and transversal problems
  • You form part of the Belgian Rapid Response Teams leading and/or coaching complex investigations together with other technical experts
  • You drive cross-functional problem-solving sessions
  • You deliver lean improvements to transversal processes (both operational and support)
  • You actively contribute to the development of Six Sigma capabilities on the Belgian site:
  • You mentor belt candidates (orange and green) during the certification project and prepare them for the Tollgate reviews
  • You enable appropriate Change Management on all required levels to ensure sustainable impact of DMAIC projects:
  • You act as a role model, ‘don’t jump to solution’ and promote and support the deployment of GPS (GlaxoSmithKline Production System)
  • You apply proper stakeholder management and ensure appropriate Sponsorship of DMAIC projects
  • You engage operators, technicians and senior managers in DMAIC projects and Kaizens
  • You comfortably operate in a multicultural environment
  • You effectively communicate with all levels in the organization from VP to Operator
Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • You have an extensive experience as an active blackbelt, leading and delivering six sigma projects in an operational environment.
  • At least 10 years of working experience including minimum 5 years’ experience in a Lean/6 Sigma similar role or in a Manufacturing/Technical management role.
  • You have demonstrated change management capability.
  • You have strong people development skills with demonstrated engaging, empowering and decisive leadership style. You have well developed relationship building skills allowing you to gain trust and credibility quickly within cross functional (project) teams.
  • French and English Speaking.
  • Excellent analytical skills and learning agility
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Ability to simplify complex processes, applying innovative thinking
  • Leadership and ability to lead and drive change, matrix leadership
