Eurogentec is an internationally successful biotech group, part of Kaneka. For several decades it has been a worldwide supplier of innovative products and services to the Life Science industry. The company has developed a broad technological platform, which is organized in separate business units, subsidiaries and production facilities. It is currently looking for a (m/f):

CONTROLLING MANAGER

MISSION

•To perform reliable and timely financial analyses, which are useful for managing the company in a view to optimize the group’s results

•To be responsible for financial planning and management accounting for Kaneka, Eurogentec and group subsidiaries

•Strong support to CFO & operational management

•To provide reliable and useful outputs to business units as high-level business partner

MAIN SCOPE

•Manage and oversee the daily operations for the controlling department

•Supervise and coach the Financial Controller

•Implication during monthly closure: ensure accuracy of monthly statements of all the companies in the group and reliable analytical accounting

•Prepare and present financial analysis depicting the performance of the divisions/projects/customers of the group

•Participate to pricing decisions for complex projects/services

•Be the key user for SAP projects related to controlling

•Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting

•Audit internal procedures related to financial cycles and propose improvements

•Review and reports J-Sox internal controls list required by shareholder

•Responsible for the design of the budget and 3 years plan from A to Z for the Eurogentec group of companies

•Prepare for monthly rolling forecast updates, by working closely with the business stakeholders

•Advising operational managers and assisting them in setting up management tools by analyzing observed deviations, implementing corrective actions, forecasting methods, and selecting performance indicators

•Special ad-hoc projects (Pricing reviews, SAP implementations…)

•Support to the Accounting Manager on key topics (IFRS, grants…)

•Business partnering across all services (Production, R&D, Sales, Management…)

PROFILE

•Master’s degree in finance or business

•Proficiency in English

•More than 5 years financial experience in international settings

•Pharmaceutical or life science experience preferred

•Deep experience with SAP ERP preferred (Controlling module, but also MM, FI, SD, PS)

•Excel advanced knowledge
