Spectricity was incorporated in 2018, as a spin-off from imec, a leading R&D center in nanoelectronics and digital technologies in Belgium. Spectricity develops low-cost, miniaturized, multispectral sensing solutions with the mission to enable applications in high-volume consumer and industrial devices. These fields include wearables, smartphones, security and automotive, and multispectral sensing in the field of biomedical health, smart gardening, color sensing, food analysis, and smart object recognition.

Within the dynamic, multidisciplinary, and fast-growing team of technologists, engineers, and application experts, we are looking for an enthusiastic CV Engineer.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Combine computer vision and machine learning approaches that leverage spectral image information to solve real-world problems, such as auto-white balancing
  • Support the engineering team to optimize the camera products and its calibration & image processing pipeline based on the spectral algorithm requirements
  • Contribute to company roadmap definition and execution

Your Profile, Skills, And Talents

Ideally you are a creative, self-dependent engineer or scientist, highly-motivated to be part of a dynamic team creating new value, continuously and actively seeking better solutions for

Our Problems. Specifically

  • You have a master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering or similar relevant degree by proven experience and at least 5-10 years of experience in a computer vision and image processing
  • Signal processing and computer vision are your trade. You are comfortable at all levels of the development cycle, from formulating algorithmic approaches and conducting feasibility studies, to defining (training/validation) data requirements and collection protocols, to detailed method evaluation and validation
  • You have proven experience in applied Machine Learning and development of AI-based solutions. As such, you have hands-on experience with AI frameworks like Keras/Tensorflow
  • You are proficient with Python and Git, and are on top of quality standards with respect to software implementation and verification
  • Experience with spectral image analysis and/or auto-white balancing is a very strong plus
  • You are a leader who can efficiently interact with your peers within engineering and marketing teams
  • You are fluent in English, and have good presentation skills
