PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position aims to analyze the working methods and needs of the “Site Application engineering office” users on the corporate and specific IT tools made available to them, the creation and maintenance of IT interfaces between these tools in order to improve the quality of service, fluidity of use as well as their speed of implementation and maintenance.

Hierarchical reporting to the “Application Eco Design & Data metiers manager” from the Site Application Engineering Office.

MISSIONS

Responsibilities

  • Promote corporate IT Tools for the Site Application Engineering Office
  • Validate user’s and subcontractor’s operational usage of department IT Tools
  • Make sure users understand the use of these tools.
  • Provide support on tools when requested
  • Develop and improve IT tools for the Site Application Engineering Office by Integrating users’ feedback
  • Identify possible improvements in existing tools by considering its speed of implementation and ease of maintenance.
  • Learn about existing or developing solutions that could be adapted to the department (watch) and understand unknown or not mastered technologies
  • Ensure in all circumstances a non-regression on the execution of projects
  • Carry out explanatory documents associated with the tools developed
  • Transpose and extend the tools to other métier’s or departments and propose improvement strategies.
  • Favor usage of "direct" languages (ie not requiring a compilation environment)
  • Plan the evolutions of the systems and communicate a schedule of foreseen changes
  • Actively participate in the life of the DATA MANAGEMENT unit by by participating in the periodic meeting of the unit and sharing experiences, tasks advancements.
  • Identify the backup (s) on all activities and ensure that in the event of absence the backup (s) are operational

  • Right first-time deliverables (no modifications due to design errors after delivery)
  • Operational activities completed with respect of the defined budget
