DHL Express is seeking a DevOps Application Support Specialist for its office in Diegem, Belgium. The purpose of this role is to:

  • Provide Application Support & Deployment Services for the relevant Global Aviation IT Domains in order to ensure the maximum availability and minimal disruption to business continuity.
  • Make sure that all agreed targets, SLA’s and Metrics are met.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with all interested parties in order to monitor business satisfaction with the service, in line with Global Aviation IT guidelines.
  • Guarantee that all incidents are dealt with, according to Incident Management’s best practices.


YOUR TASKS

  • Prioritize requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization in accordance with SLAs, current processes and procedures
  • Investigate problems and other support requests and determine appropriate follow up actions
  • Within own area of competence, provide correct responses to support requests by: developing workarounds or site-specific enhancements, manipulating data, reconfiguring systems, helping to implement changes to operating procedures, training users or operations staff, producing additional documentation, or escalating requests
  • Follow quality standards and policies related with the respective technical area(s) of knowledge
  • Liaise with key responsible contacts to enhance systems’ design & development in order to overcome known problems or fulfil user requirements
  • Take ownership of project related tasks which are typically assigned by Senior Team Members, Line Managers, or Project Managers
  • Ensure adherence to Global Aviation IT processes, EGAP and Global BIT requirements and ITIL best practice

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3-5 years’ experience in technical support, software maintenance or development
  • Alternatively experience as a Technical Trainer, Super User, Technical Operator, Field Operations, Service Desk Agent or IT dependent function
  • At least 2 years’ experience with Operating & Application Systems, Information Retrieval Tools, Operating Infrastructure, ITIL Foundation.
  • Preferably 2-5 years of DHL Express knowledge
  • Experience with Programming Languages, Networking and Communications
  • Conceptual & Analytical thinker
  • Team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • University Degree with IT related subject matter or have equivalent industry experience
  • Solid IT background
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), Dutch is a plus
