This Director role provides leadership for operations support activities and processes for OMS across all EMEA locations and platforms including:
  • EMEA Outage Control Center (W-E-OCC) - process and operations including staffing
  • Resource planning & Engineering Variance management - process and implementation, optimization of operations
  • Equipment maintenance - process and implementation, optimization of operations
  • Training coordination - technical and administrative including site-access related
  • Organizational effectiveness through Continuous Improvement & Transformation
  • Project Controls & SOx compliance
  • Project Management – process adherence, capability and project performance improvements
  • Logistics s & Storeroom - process and implementation, optimization of operations

As a member of the EMEA OMS leadership team, this role provides leadership for developing and implementing roadmaps and initiatives to improve performance and optimize these OMS support processes to achieve highest level of effectiveness, profitability and sustainable business result. Success in this role requires proactive and influential leadership across a regional/global business with strong focus on collaboration, change and leveraging a growth mindset. Responsibilities include EMEA wide reporting from the OMS teams/functions for OCC, resource planning, training, logistics, equipment maintenance and project controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive the operation support functions and processes to performance levels meeting the EMEA BU and OMS business and transformational goals and objectives. Develop and implement standardization, changes and improvements to achieve improved productivity, effectiveness, cost and efficiency across the EMEA OMS.
  • Provide leadership for establishing and implementing vision, goals and objectives, systematic structure, trending analyses, indicators (KPIs) and other means to define targets, track and visualize progress on improvements and transformational activities. Initiate and support identification and use of effective Key performance indicators and dashboards across the EMEA OMS organization at different levels
  • Spearhead development and implementation of cost and performance improvements to Equipment Maintenance & Product Lifecycle Cost processes resulting in an optimized operating cost structure.
  • The Outage Control Center (OCC) supports and is a point of coordination for field activities in EMEA. Coordinate and organize the OCC activities and continuously analyze data, drive and implement improvement projects across EMEA OMS resulting in improved performance, with particular focus on safety, quality and delivery. Ensure aligned OCC processes with Americas and Asia OMS operations.
  • Lead OMS transformation with Platform directors to develop and lead implementation of strategic roadmaps to optimize the OMS cost/resource structure and footprint (Facilities, service centers) to achieve expected business result. Provide leadership for OMS cross cutting improvement projects as well as support to strategic efforts.
  • Ensure OMS and Westinghouse systems, processes and personnel meet customer deliveries and implement initiatives for improvement in Margin and Cost, Safety, Quality and Delivery. Utilizing lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methods, along with data analysis, trending and metrics to effectively identifying opportunities for improvement and drive incremental and step wise changes with quantifiable results.
  • Lead and spearhead the improvement of project management and project performance across EMEA OMS in close collaboration with EPMO and other EMEA BU project functions. Ensure in alignment with the platform directors that project managers are appropriately assigned and qualified. Represent EMEA BU and OMS in global project management leadership councils and initiatives. Provide leadership for the project controls function for EMEA OMS and ensure that project controls capabilities are effectively and efficiently supporting the project execution.
  • Lead the operational training as well as site access and resource planning process and functions to ensure resources with adequate skills, training and profiles are cost effectively deployed to projects and to customer sites.
  • Lead the logistics & storeroom functions for EMEA OMS. Ensure that equipment is effectively and timely transported to and from customer site. Drive improvements to the logistics processes to achieve optimized cost and performance for equipment transports. Manage storeroom inventory with a balanced focus on operational needs, inventory obsolescence and cash flow optimization.
  • Attract, motivate and develop high performing operation support teams.
  • Implement Westinghouse standards and code of conduct.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent with related experience. MBA an advantage.

Years of Experience (if applicable):
5 + years of leadership experience
3 + years of field service operation or equivalent operational experience
Project management experience required

Professional Certifications:PMP as well as Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
