A global leader in the life sciences industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join the team as the Director of Procurement. This key leadership role will play a crucial part in managing a diverse team with significant responsibility and influence over procurement strategies and processes/best practices so is well suited to a highly motivated, results driven individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, demonstrating a performance-driven mindset and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Manage a spend of around €300M, across both direct and indirect materials whilst also driving procurement excellence and process improvement. Oversee the P2P process, streamlining the process and ultimately driving efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 20 strategic and operational professionals spread across Europe, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Work collaboratively with procurement teams on both local and global scales to identify and implement cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role, managing large-scale spend and leading diverse teams. Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in another European language is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills with proven experience working with senior management as this role will be working closely with C-suite.
  • A dynamic, strategic individual with high energy levels, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and challenging work environment, you have a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work setting with regular presence in the Brussels office.
